New version, Gen3!
Curved blade with T-insert (a tang that installs inside the wing. Blade is available by itself, or with two possible options: An installation kit, and final shaping. The installation kit includes pre-measured laminating epoxy in syringes (much harder than 50/50 hobby epoxies), our mix of hard thickeners, nitrile gloves, and a mixing cup. Mix in the cup, add thickeners, put back in one of the syringes, and inject the mixture into the wingtip.
If there is an ultimate throwing blade, this curved T-blade design, now generation #3 by Craig Robinson, is it. The most solid feel I've ever experienced with a blade, it has rugged construction, elegant curves and lines, and on installation greatly stiffens and strengthens the wing tip area.
Gen3 incorporates a higher modulus carbon material, which allows a smaller planform and slightly thinner build. Still ample for holding and throwing, but the changes further reduce drag. The smaller surface area for holding may also help throwers with a tendency to hang on a little long, hooking their throws.
Instructions for shaping according to Craig's specification are included, as well as our recommendations for installation.
